Memorial service for Moyer, Saturday

A memorial services for Grant R. Moyer will be held Saturday, March 9, at American Legion Post No. 163 in Friday Harbor, beginning at 11:30 a.m.

Moyer passed away Feb. 26, in Bellingham, at the age of 85.

Moyer, a 60-year-resident of Friday Harbor and former University of Washington boxing champion, in Golden Gloves light-weight division, is survived by his wife of 59 years, Kathryn Elizabeth (Bettie) Moyer, sons Michael, Mark and daughter Kathryn (Arlan) Danner.
