The May Dining for Scholars host will be Steps Wine Bar & Cafe on Thursday, beginning at 5 p.m.

Steps owner Madden Surbaugh was voted one of the “Northwest Best Chefs 2007” by KCTS 9.

It was the first local restaurant to become Island Certified Local by the Agricultural Resources Committee.

A portion of the gross proceeds will be donated to Dollars for Scholars, which awards scholarships to local graduating seniors that have provided 80 hours of community service work locally.
