Glass art by Crain featured at PIMC
February 8, 2013 · Updated 4:57 PM
Kathy Crain’s portrayal of a madrona tree is the latest work added to the collection of local art featured at Peace Island Medical Center. Crain’s madrona tree, entitled “Madrona Glass”, is sand-carved into half-inch thick glass on the entry doors into PIMC’s Cancer Care Center, which were also recently installed.
Crain hopes that the artwork will inspire those who walk through the doors and that it will give them strength and inner peace. It was donated to the medical center by Charles Anderson and Pamela Gross.
Crain glass art includes works in fused, leaded, copper foiled, stained, as well as sand-carved glass.
