Music, dancing, contests, games, holiday activities, there’s something in store for the whole family at Island Rec’s annual New Year’s Eve, Monday, Dec. 31.

Co-sponsored by Island Rec and San Juan Island Prevention Coalition, the annual event features a variety of family friendly activities and a venue for ringing in the New Year in an alcohol-free enviornment.

Activities get under way beginning at 7 p.m. at the Mullis Community Senior Center, 589 Nash St.

Clocks will be set to Eastern Standard Time in order to welcome in the new year at 9 p.m.

The celebration is intended for all ages; children ages 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Partygoers are encouraged to bring a snack or potluck dish to share.
