Memorial for Sam Carter, Sunday, in Anacortes

The Carter family will hold a memorial gathering with Sam Carter ashes on Sunday, Dec. 2, at Evans Funeral Home in Anacortes, from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Evans Funeral Home is located at 1105 32nd Street.
A celebration of life for Sam Carter is slated for Dec. 23, at the Grange Hall in Friday Harbor. Carter, 30, died in an apparent drowning accident at the Port of Friday Harbor, shortly after midnight of Thanksgiving Day.
A fund has been set up at the Friday Harbor branch of Wells Fargo Bank to help pay travel expenses of Sam Carter's sister, Alycia Johnson, who lives in Alaska, to attend the memorial.
