League of Women Voters present 'The Healthcare Movie', Monday
November 10, 2012 · 2:20 PM
The League of Women Voters will air the film “The Healthcare Movie” at its monthly membership meeting Monday, Nov. 12, at San Juan Island Library.
The meeting is noon to 2 p.m., with a discussion of the film following its presentation.
The film documents the evolution and the differences between the healthcare systems in the U.S. and in Canada. Beginning with similar goals, the two nation's healthcare systems evolved over time into two completely different entities. This movie tells the story of how that happened over time.
The documentary is considered in understanding issues concerning healthcare and a "must see" for those interested in healthcare reform in the U.S. The meeting is open to the general public
