Party plans for Wilks retirement

The Town of Friday Harbor will be throwing a party for Utilities Superintendent Mike Wilks, who is retiring after a 36- year-long career in public service, all with the town.
The party, billed as an “Open House Reception”, is Friday, Oct. 5, at the town fire station 2-4 p.m.
Wilks has served in various capacities during three decades of employment with the town. He currently is superintendent of the utilities division, overseeing the town water supply and transmission lines.
