Author George Dyson in Whitely Lecture season finale, Thursday

George Dyson, author of “Turing’s Cathedral – The origins of the digital universe”, will present the last of this year’s Arthur Whiteley lectures, Thursday, 7 p.m., in the Commons of the Friday Harbor Labs.

The lecture is open to the public at no charge; donations are accepted.

Dyson outlines some of the major research developments made possible by the advent of this computing machine, and the software that was created and provides a glimpse of our future in the digital universe.
