For the month of December, the San Juan Islands Museum of Art is presenting a window display of selected work from 6th through 12th grade students.  The IMA helps provide grants for art teachers in the San Juan Island Public Schools to help cultivate young artists. They thanks its members and the community for supporting the museum with donations and volunteering to make this possible.

In January, an additional grant and donation funded by the IMA will provide art to kindergarten to 2nd grade and students who did not have an art teacher this year.   This program will involve community artists teaching island children.

To get involved contact IMA Director Jennifer Elise by email admin@sjima.org by phone at 370-5050 or on the website www.sjima.com.
