Dollars for Scholars Annual fundraising campaign and new website

November 28, 2011 · Updated 6:05 PM

Every December, Dollars for Scholars San Juan Island holds it annual “Letter Campaign” for its educational scholarship fund to graduating seniors with a minimum of 80 volunteer community service hours during their high school career.

In 2010, 13 graduating seniors received scholarships and over the past 10 years, DFS-SJI has awarded over $150,000 in scholarships.

DFS-SJI is currently reaching out to all San Juan Island nonprofit and community organizations for any events or opportunity, which needs volunteers. Nonprofits can register their event on the new website www.dollarsforscholarssji.org.

If you do not receive a letter directly from DFS-SJI this December, you can still make a tax deductible donation through the secure “Donate Here” button on the website.
