Nearly 400 people attended the Terry Ogle Benefit, to raise medical funds for Ogle, who was recently diagnosed with stage four leukemia.
Dave Hall, shown front and left, pledged to cut off all 12 inches of his hair for a donation of $5 for every inch. Hall not only reached his goal, but raised over $5,000 by the end of the night,
The hair will be donated to Locks of Love for children’s wigs.
“The event truly exemplified how lucky we are to live in such a giving community,” said Megan Kilpatrick-Boe, who organized the event.
Donations can be made to the Terry Ogle Medical Benefit account at Islanders Bank.
