Every year teachers buy school supplies for their students who can’t afford them. To lessen the load on teachers, Islanders Bank teams are sponsoring “Gear Up For Our Schools” from July 27 to Aug. 27.

Teams hope to collect pencils, pens, graph paper, glue sticks, spiral notebooks, highlighters, crayons, color markers, markers and paint, three ring binders, pencil sharpeners and other school supplies.

Collections Bins can be found at the Islanders Bank on San Juan, Orcas and Lopez.

In Friday Harbor bins are at Kings Market, Market Place, Friday Harbor Drug and Office Center.
