The faculty at Lighthouse Preschool is expanding.

Joining Amy Pauls and Autumn Hallock on the Lighthouse Preschool teaching staff this year will be Katie Chevalier of Friday Harbor. Hallock, in her second year at Lighthouse, and Pauls, in her third, will be leading the 3-year-old and the 4-year-old classes, while Chevalier will be working with the toddler group.

Chevalier's educational background includes studies in early education and experience in early education programs. She will also share her artistic talents and passion for art with the students.

Classes begin Sept. 6.

This year's curriculum will include: artist in residence program, zoo phonics, character development, kid safe, and high scope math and science. Space is currently available in all three preschool class levels, the toddler group, morning preschool and afternoon preschool.

Enrollment applications are available at the Friday Harbor Presbyterian Church administration office, 425 Spring Street; 378-4544.

Limited scholarship funds are available for qualified applicants.

Lighthouse Preschool is seeking to fill a teacher's aide position for the toddler group. Applications are available at the Presbyterian Church administrative office.
