The 2011 Pig War Commemoration Encampment is a free event from July 23 to 24,  at San Juan Island National Historical Park, English Camp located at 3905 West Valley. Here is a look at the weekend's events, which allow you to travel back in time to mid-19th century island life.


Saturday, July 23

9 a.m.            Flag Raising Ceremony

11 a.m.           U.S. Army Fife & Drum

1 p.m.            Cast Iron Cook-Off

3 p.m.            Period Clothing Program

5 p.m.            Retire Flag Ceremony

7:30-10 p.m.  Candlelight Ball in Barracks

Sunday, July 24

9 a.m.            Flag Raising Ceremony

10 a.m.          Fife and Drum

11 a.m.          Period Clothing Program

2 p.m.            Fife & Drum

5 p.m.            Retire Flag Ceremony
