Emma Fei Anderson was born at 12:34 p.m. on July 5 at Island Hospital in Anacortes.

Emma Fei is the daughter of Mona Dayton Ricks and Sean Anderson of San Juan Island, and the couple's first baby. She weighed eight pounds and measured 19 inches at birth.

She is the granddaughter of Besty Dayton and Jim Ricks of Friday Harbor, and of Steve and Cathy Anderson, also of Friday Harbor. Her great grandparents are Lois and Clarence Ricks of Anacortes.

Emma Fei will have three aunts, Katie, Kristina and Sarah, sisters of Sean Anderson, and an uncle, brother of Mona Dayton Ricks, to look after her in the years ahead.
