Richard Somerset Mackie will speak at Griffin Bay Bookstore, Sunday night, May 22, 7:00 p.m. to talk about his two prize-winning books about the early timber industry on Vancouver Island, “Island Timber” and its sequel “Mountain Timber.” If you’ve ever wondered about the timber and logging history of our neighbors to the North and West, then come listen meet this noted historian and writer from British Columbia. Signed copies of both books will be available.
