A memorial service is being planned for Dave Ross, former president of Aeronautical Services.

Mr. Ross, 65, died Dec. 24 at University of Washington Hospital from complications from a lung transplant. His wife, Judie, was at his side.

An obituary is being written.

His wife remembered him as a "quiet player" in the community. Over the years, "he was an officer of almost every club on the island," his wife said. "He was quite a giver."

The San Juan Island Yacht Club reported that a reception will be planned at a later date.
