Northwest Educational Service District 189, in collaboration with Northwest Early Learning, is gathering information on the systems, services and supports available for infants, toddlers and their families within Island, San Juan, Skagit, Snohomish and Whatcom counties.

A meeting was scheduled Aug. 24, 9-11 a.m., in Mullis Community Senior Center. Upcoming meetings:

— Sept. 2, 1-3 p.m. or 6-8 p.m., Burlington Library Community Room, 820 E. Washington Ave., Burlington.

— Sept. 7, 2-4 p.m. or 6-8 p.m., Everett Public Library, 2702 Hoyt Ave., Everett.

— Sept. 10, 1-3 p.m. or 6-8 p.m., Coupeville Library Community Room, 788 Alexander St., Coupeville.

The information gathered will help Washington state’s Department of Early Learning direct three years of funding intended to increase the quality of services available to our state’s youngest people (birth to age 3) and those who care for them.

Parents, caregivers, child care providers and early care and learning professionals are invited to join in the discussion of the strengths, needs and opportunities for infants and toddlers in our communities.

For more information about the focus groups or to access the online survey, contact Patty Yates at (360) 299-4015.
