Visitors Bureau spring membership luncheon, May 9

This year’s luncheon coincides and also celebrates with National Travel and Tourism Week, May 5-13. And check out the bureau's new "Paid for with Tourism Dollars" stamp; order a stamp at the luncheon.

The San Juan Islands Visitors Bureau is extending an open invitation to The Outlook Inn in Eastsound, on Wednesday, May 9, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., for its annual spring membership luncheon meeting.

Hear updates on current marketing and media relations programs, as well as about the bureau’s new website.  The cost is $15 per person for lunch (cash or check) and space is limited.

San Juan Transit’s shuttle bus will be on the 11:35 a.m. ferry from Friday Harbor to Orcas Island, to help transport passengers to The Outlook Inn, with a return on the 4:30 p.m. ferry back to Friday Harbor.

Shuttle space is limited and must be reserved at time of luncheon reservation.

This year’s luncheon also celebrates and coincides with National Travel and Tourism Week, May 5-13.  A new local feature, promoted by the SJIVB and the San Juan Island Chamber of Commerce, is a “Paid for with Tourism Dollars” stamp, which can indicate on a business check a company’s support for tourism contributions to the local economy.
