Located at 278 A Street, The Studio is situated in the heart of downtown Friday Harbor. At the grand opening, 9 a.m. to noon, you can check out the studio, enjoy food from Coho Restaurant, participate in a demonstration class and enter to win one of many door prizes.
Reiff and Horn together have more than 20 years in sports medicine, health and fitness, and the wellness industry. They hold numerous certifications, including BASI Comprehensive Pilates Instruction, National Academy of Sports Medicine Corrective Exercise Specialist, TRX Suspension Training, BOSU and Booty Barre Balletone, and Zumba.
Classes at The Studio will focus on Pilates, core strength and conditioning.
“Our mission at The Studio is to provide the highest caliber, most professional instruction in the San Juan Islands,” Horn and Reiff say. “We wanted to create a space that was open and bright, yet intimate, allowing us to pay close attention to each student.”
Reiff and Horn’s commitment to individual instruction is evidenced by the maximum class size; group classes are limited to 12 participants. The partners aim to provide options that will challenge and strengthen every body type, regardless of age, using core-centric principles of strength and control, offering programs intended to create leaner, stronger, more flexible and well-balanced bodies.
“We wanted to offer individualized training and group classes for all fitness levels,” Reiff adds.
The Studio offers individual, semi-private, and trio Pilates Equipment, personal training, and corrective exercise sessions. A full schedule of dynamic group classes are available in TRX Suspension Training, Booty Barre, Mat Pilates and BOSU Integrated Balance Training.
