For the fourth consecutive year, the Port of Friday Harbor offers guest marina customers a fifth night of free moorage with four nights of paid moorage. Visitors can use free boat nights from September through June, an encouragement to visit Friday Harbor during the shoulder season. In 2013, this promotion resulted in 367 free nights of moorage.

According to the port, the average boater spends between $100 to $200 each day at local establishments. Redeeming free moorage results in $36,700 to $73,400 of revenue to the island economy.
