New location, lower prices for San Juan Colors
May 18, 2009 · Updated 1:10 PM
San Juan Colors, a local paint store approaching its 20th year of business, has a new location.
San Juan Colors has moved from Airport Center Road to the Surina Business Park, 50 Malcolm St., No. 504, Friday Harbor. Hours are 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. Call for service, 378-2806, other times.
Other businesses at Surina Business Park include Friday Harbor Pet Supplies and the Food Co-Op.
While her space is smaller than her previous location, owner Elli Gull said, "It's boutique style and geared toward customer service. It's more personal, and that's what I've wanted."
Gull carries the Purecoat brand of paint — solvent-free, low odor, no volatile organic compounds — and has paint samples and painting supplies. She serves contractors and makes stock runs weekly. Her warehouse is in Star Storage, next to the business park.
To celebrate her new location, Gull has lowered prices 10 percent across the board.
