Chamber launches new program: The Chamber Luncheon

The San Juan Island Chamber of Commerce introduces a new program for 2009, “The Chamber Luncheon.”
This monthly event will be held the third Tuesday of each month from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Vinny’s Ristorante, starting this month.
The motto of the program: “Improving Your Business Performance through Education and Networking.”
The first luncheon is April 21; RSVP by 5 p.m. Thursday. E-mail Debbie Pigman at chamber@sanjuanisland.org, or call 378-5240.
The luncheon will feature Biz Buzz, which will be repeated the first month of each quarter. Attendees are encouraged to bring business cards, fliers, rack cards, etc., to give away.
There will be local speakers the second and third month of each quarter. On May 19, Sam Jacobson, lodging director at Roche Harbor, will talk about “How to Increase Your Bottom Line by Cutting Costs.”
On June 16, Mark Gardner, owner of Rainshadow PhotoGraphics, will address “How Do You Figure Out Who is Your Customer?”
The cost of the luncheon is $15 for chamber members and $20 for non- members, tax and gratuity included.
