Islands’ Weekly now mailing to Lopez only

Effective with the March 31 edition, the Lopez Island-based Islands’ Weekly will no longer be mailed to households on Orcas and San Juan islands.

It will continue to be mailed free of charge to Lopez Island households.

The rising cost of paper and postage make it economically impractical to continue a countywide mailing, publisher Elyse Van den Bosch said.

Limited copies of The Weekly will be available in the offices of The Islands’ Sounder in Eastsound and The Journal of the San Juan Islands in Friday Harbor.

Much of The Islands’ Weekly is also available online at www.islandsweekly.net.

The Islands’ Weekly office is located at 131 Weeks Road, Lopez Village.
