The next Chamber Downtown Forum will meet on Thursday, 8:30 a.m., at Whidbey Island Bank.

Joy Sevier and Peggy Long, members of the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, will facilitate the meeting, continuing the topic "What can we do NOW to improve our local economy?"

The ideas that resulted from the November brainstorming session will be reviewed with the plan to move forward with some action plans.

The Chamber Downtown Forum is a program offered by the San Juan Island Chamber of Commerce to provide an opportunity for anyone -- employers, employees, community members -- with interests in the town of Friday Harbor to communicate. The expected results are discussion, planning and action.

The meetings are open to members and non-members. Call the chamber office for more information, 378-5240.
